Yes, Kate was illegitimate, but an illegitimate Jones possible father Eggboro as we can't find any connection to Eggboro through Sarah's family.

Well at first glance it looks to me as if Sarah Ann is a Jones not an Eggboro. Kate's father may have been an Eggboro.
