Trying to find information re Louisa . Her father was Edwin Bartlett b 1828, and I believe her mother was Sophia Cook b 1843 married 1863 in Cannock. Louisa was born in Staffordshire area in 1864/5

Just not having any luck finding any such person in the 1871 or 1881 census.

Could you indicate where your info -- her name, her DOB, her parents' names -- comes from?

The Barrow conection could be a distinct possibility.
Louisa was my grandmother. married in Settle Yorks in 1885 age 20 to John Moorby(marriage cert.giving father as Edwin). In 1891 census she is listed as Laura, with 2 children
Sarah Elizabeth 3 born Barrow in Furness
John Thomas 1 born Settle

In the 1881 census for Barrow there is a Louisa Bartlett 16 in service, but birth place not the midlands.
In a later census Louisa gives her birthplace as Bilston Staffs. seems to tie in with the Sophia in 1881 at Barrow.
I previously looked at the birth cert for the Louisa 1864 Lichfield and got the mothers name as Cook, and sent for the Marriage Cert of Edwin and Sophia sure that it was the right one.
One snag in the 1871 census where is Louisa who would be 6. Still this is one possibility to look into.
