What was Frances' maiden name? Take it you have her marriage cert to Thomas - so who was her father and what was his occupation? |

Can find no birth record in 1889 or a 12 yr old Frances on the 1901 census. How are you sure it is 1889 |

The information on the bill is only as good as the informant told him. You cannot assume it to be concrete evidence. I have searched for a birth but there is none for the year you gave. If she gave an incorrect age on her marriage cert as she was older than her husband she could have carried this thro. |

if she gave the incorect age could she be hiding that she was a b***sted child if so is ther a way of finding out? |

The following birth record may well be in keeping with the 1881 Census result I forwarded. "Elfrida" being a Norwegian name and may well have been dropped |

The 1901 census family with Thomas H and Elizabeth as parents does not tally with 1891 info. |
