No, no checks , information only as good as the couple gave. Now, assuming the marriage age was correct but there is no birth registrationfor a Frances Mary Anderson, i looked for other Frances Mary's born 1889 and there was one in Strood where she married , a FRANCES MARY MARTIN. Could this be the same person. I went back to 1891 census and she is with parents Harry Martin 28 and Frances Martin 24 but not on 1901. Checked deaths for parents between census 1891 and 1901 and there is a death of a Harry Martin end 1891 that matches his birth year (from census info) and a death of an Ada Frances Martin 1900 who matches Frances Martins birth year from census. Of course this is only an idea and could be nothing to do with your family just me playing detective. Perhaps raised with an Anderson family? |

The 1901 census family with Thomas H and Elizabeth as parents does not tally with 1891 info. |

The following birth record may well be in keeping with the 1881 Census result I forwarded. "Elfrida" being a Norwegian name and may well have been dropped |

The information on the bill is only as good as the informant told him. You cannot assume it to be concrete evidence. I have searched for a birth but there is none for the year you gave. If she gave an incorrect age on her marriage cert as she was older than her husband she could have carried this thro. |

Can find no birth record in 1889 or a 12 yr old Frances on the 1901 census. How are you sure it is 1889 |
