I have just as much excitement finding other peoples ancestors as I do my own. But once you have got so far with someone's elses you lose where you are, not seeing it in a tree it gets abit confusing.

Have you added what we have so far to your tree?

Lol. It means on the IGI site it gives James' siblings etc on a pedigree chart.

I'm not to clued up on these army records, have a look on the National Archives web site.

I'm stilling searching through it as well.

Date range: 1828 - 1849.

Found this on national archives sounds very much like him. As on the 1851 census James is an army pensioner.

I have found James and Sarah with their daughter Sarah in 1841 in Royal House Artillery at Woolwich Dock. James is a Gunner'
