My Great Grandfather, George Whitecross, born in Aberdeenshire. He married Mary Alice Brown of Gretford England, the marriage took place in Rotherham, had 1 son also George then moved to Salford and had a further 8? children. Died mid 40's, youngest child Edith was 2 (my Grandmother). It states on 1881 census he was born in Scotland but no place. He was born abt 1845. I am trying to trace his parents. Anyone know how to find this mans family in Scotland? |
