I am looking for the marriage of Jean Stevenson to John McLinden in Denver, Colorado, USA. (I am not quite sure if John was his first name) She was born in 1902 in Glasgow and died in 1985 in Denver, Colorado, USA. She married someone called McLinden in Denver possibly around 1922ish. I would appreciate any help in finding the marriage please. |

Kathy, I haven't found a marriage, but have you seen the 1930 census? Could this be them? |

Thank you again, Jim, you're a star! It looks like his father (Peter) was Irish. |

Many thanks for looking anyway, Jim. Really kind of you. I think you are right and she could be under the surname of the people who took her at that time. |

That is fantastic, Jim!!! So the people she was with were either called English or Walker. I'll see if I can find out if the names ring a bell with anyone in Glasgow |

Hi Jim, I hope you are still there. I just found out the family who took Jean Stevenson to the USA were called McCrossan. She may well have been taken there under their name. If its not too much trouble, could you look for a Jean McCrossan who arrived in 1910 +/-. |

On the Ellis Island site there's Jane McCrossan, 37, married with Jeanie McCrossan, 8. They're from Uddington, Scotland. Nearest relative is sister Maggie Knight, 408 Galbraith St., Marghill? They're heading for Denver, Colorado to meet husband and father Chas. Mccrossan. It says Jane was born Straban, Ireland and Jeanie Old Kirkpatrick, Scotland. |

When you get the name on Ellis Island click on "ship manifest". You might have to go to the previous or next page to find the page with the names. Make note of the line number and check the previous or next page to find extra info.(I say prevoius or next because the pages are never in the same order) |
