I'm glad it's not just me, Sylvia can't find him either! I've also looked on Findmypast at the 1841 census (both by name and by address) and can't find him. Presumably then you have bought credits for records here on GR?

Do you have any other info at all so that we could look on other sites to try and track him down?

Mandy :)

I cannot find it using

William Batt, living Bethnal Green
William b. 1801 +/- 5 years or +/-10 years

Batt only,

Batt b. 1821 +/-10 years ( to try to pick up the children), living Bethnal Green

I have tried Bat*, Ball

and can't think of anything else!

Hi Derek

First of all, ages were rounded up or down on the 1841 census which is why you could find several children of the same age (eg, if they were 18, 20 and 22, they would all be listed as 20).

I'll go off and have a look at the other censuses and see if I can find anything.

Mandy :)
