Medication and trips to the hospital are more important.....this is really just a hobby. As I knew nothing of my family past.

Samspade Report 7 Nov 2008 14:53

But are you any good at painting?
No one famous in my tree,or infamous!
I have a dead end which looks like it'll always be and he's my great great grandfather Richard SMITH how I dislike that particular surname.
I've also found out that I'm an anglo saxon through and through, nearest I get to any foreign blood is my grandmother was welsh only when she was born Monmouthshire was technically part of England :-) Most of my family and my husbands is firmly rooted in Somerset I even found a very distant link through marriage that joins my and my husband's tree's!!!that was a bit of a worry at first I checked my children had the correct number of toes etc....

CRIPES_A_MIGHTY Report 7 Nov 2008 14:59

Well..I was rather good at art at school..got an O level..and 1 in tech drawings.
But never reached my potential...lack of family encouragement..and money.

last job I had was in catering. Doing that for 18 years till the move....now...I was virtually crippled by the pain. Getting better....but never gonna be the same.

I could have never dreamt of the family links Ive found..Its been really eye opening.

Plus gives me something to do..stuck in doors allday. Other half works..so on me own 90% of the time...with no money to go out..and all me freinds hundreds of miles away....I need something to occupy my time.

I used to fix & build pc's for friends etc..self taught..but now no money..thats out the window..

Plus I loved cycling...but cant now,, this arthritis has killed off my life....

Oh well..could be worse.
