Could anyone tell me the best way to search Irish records. My husbands great grandmother was born Catherine McCarthy in 1878. I know she was born in Skibbereen county Cork. She married a John O'Brien also from county cork and sometime before 1901 they moved to Neyland in Pembrokeshire. In 1910 she married Arthur Williams in Pembroke. I would like to know the best way to find any record of her before she moved to Wales. Thanks |

Have you got her 1910 Marriage cert? That should have her Fathers name and occupation on it. |

Thanks for that Gerri. Never thought of the marriage certificate. I think the old brain has become a bit scrambled so thanks again. |
