I have an Elizabeth Murray (nee Rowsell) b 1832 in High Ham, or Allar, Somerset. She is on the census from 1841 as Elizabeth Rowsell. She married James Murray in 1862 in West London, and is on the 1871 census living in West Ham,with James Murray. Then appears on 1891 census living with her brother Ethelbert Rowsell at West Ham, her name on this is mistyped as Elizabeth Myeray, on Ancestry. She died in 1898. |

Don't forget, the census is only a snapshot of where they spent one night. Just because they aren't together on census night doesn't mean they were separated. |

Could it not be that James is with his parents on 1881 because he was visiting or one of them was ill or dying? |

James went to live in lodgings on 1891 census, when his mother died and father went to live with his sister who is on 1881 census, with them, and later married. Elizabeth is living with her brother then on 1891 census. |
