It might be worth downloading the Windows version of the Apple Safari browser and giving that a try. Have no problems with the native Apple version.

I've been having problems with Ancestry the last week or so - very slow, not loading etc.
Think it might be a problem with the server

There are threads on this subject almost daily. It appears that the latest version of the Ancestry downloader doesn't work with certain PC configurations.

Norton has been cited as causing a problem.

I'll bump up some of the treads on the subject

Having problems with ancestry.co.uk. I have viewed a few census images today and now all of a sudden they will not download. I pay a monthly subscription so should be able to access these census images. Anyone else had this problem and resolved it? Please your advice would be appreciated.
