Alice, yes, that's them in 1861. His wife Mary and children Evan, Mary and William were living in Penybank, Dolgelly and Evan himself was working in the Gaol. |

I don't think that is them Hazel,as this is Angelsey,and not Merioneth.I used to live in Merioneth and knew the village well.There is an interesting story about a Mary Jones?? who walked 25 miles to Bala to buy a bible in Welsh,and this was the start of the bible society. |

Evan was a quarryman (on the 1851 census he's a slate quarryman) and they married on 29 March 1851 in the Capel Sardis (?) in Llanfihangel Y Pennant, Merionethshire. |
