I have sent a message to a possible contact on Ancestry, please will someone remind me, will a reply prompt me on my email address, or will I have to access it on Ancestry??? |

Actually the message itself comes to your email and you reply directly to it without knowing the address of the other person and they don't know yours. |

They might know yours when you reply, unless you edit it out of the original message which is retained in the new message. |

No, the message goes back through Ancestry, they can't see your adress and you can't see theirs. |

One thing I have found its that you can't send attachments via the Ancestry message system, so it isn't possible so sent tree reports, for example. |
