It can sometimes means it is a full sized plot, intended for 2 burials (eg husband and wife) and the "ownership" of the other half rests with the remaining living relative, to prevent anyone else being buried there. |

I'm not sure it it's the same in your case but it is possible to purchase a half size plot for the burial of cremated remains. Could this be possible do you think. |
