I have information on my great grandfather and who he married and had children with, alongside the names of these children. However he had children before this marriage. How do i find out who he had the children with?

If you post details of names, where born and when, perhaps someone from the genes community can help you look in previous census!

by looking on previous censuses to get the christian name of the woman, then searching freebmd to see if you can find a marriage

or by finding the birth registration of the children, buying at least one to get the mother's maiden name
