If you are searching for any of the above without success try searching birthplace as Pruth.
I have just come across pages of people with birthplace logged as P'mth or Pmth, when I investigated a placename Pruth, which I hadn't heard of.

I would guess that P'mth or P'mth are abbreviations for Portsmouth or Plymouth

that's correct TootyF

and the transcriber didn't know that!

just like a transcriber didn't know that Som't (upper script t) was shorthand for Somerset .............. and transcribed it as Somalia

I think that's in 1851
