Hi there

I'm hoping someone can help with this. I'm trying to look into my partners family tree but just getting started and not having much success. The info I have so far is that his dad was Harold Paget born 1945 in Glasgow, Harolds parents were Harold Paget (born I think in Lancashire) and Cathy Henry born in Glasgow (both roughly 1918). I can't find any records on the bmd registers and was wondering if anyone had any ideas ??

Well there's no 1918 birth for Harold Paget in Lancashire

The birth is there born 1944 you have to order the cert

No marriage for a Harold and Cathy Henry How sure are you on that info .

You may be better to order the birth cert first and see what info it has on it . I believe Scottish birth certs give the date of marriage for the parents

There seems to be one marriage for a Harold Paget, have you checked this out?

Doesnt tie with a 1944/5 birth though for Harold junior

Just found out some more info, harold junior was definitely born in 1944 so the birth above in glasgow looks right, harold senior was born in stoke in 1918.

no marriage listed unless the mum had been married before, or the marrige wasnt in England you need one of the birth certs for the parents names :-)
