Hi all,

I'm trying to find my grandmother's parents on here but I've had no such luck and I don't know what to do next.

My grandmother's name was Rowena Williams, she then married and become Rowena Cook and she remarried yet again and became Rowena Trick. I am unable to find her father Evan Williams of who I believe was born in 1900 in Mountain Ash. I believe he died in 1935 due to a mining accident. I know her mother's name is Elizabeth and she came from North Wales, but anything more than that I do not know.

I appreciate any help that anyone is able to give me.

Have you got Rowena's birth certificate as this should give you her mothers maiden name and through that you may be able to discover when and where her parents married. From their marriage certificate you should then find out who and what Evan William's father was which could help you find when and where Evan was born.

Irene, yes that is my grandmother. I did manage to find that information but I don't have any birth/marriage certificates to find out who her parents were. Thank you too for spending the time looking for me. Its very kind of you.

Jonesey thank you for the advice, but I don't have any certificates and I don't think I will be able to get a hold of them. I'm sure I've heard that I could purchase them but I'm unsure of how to do that.

Rhowenna (my grandmother) had a father names Evan Williams, I think he was born in 1900 and dies in 1935. Could anyone clarify that for me?

Also, I believe Evan married Elizabeth Breese, but I have no idea of her date of birth and what year they got married.

If anyone has any info I'd really appreciate it.

I have given you possible deaths for Evan and both marriages although the one to Elizabeth is a bit early if he died aged 33 in 1935 he would only be 14!!! in 1916

Your best bet is to get Rhowena's birth cert to see her parents names
