From my great grandmother Eliza Smith's birth cert, I know her mother was Annie Powley. She 'married' Charles Smith also known as Charles Colledge. < No marriage to be found, and I cant even see a birth for her. 1st child born 1885. I have them together with children in 1891 and 1911. Cant see them in 1901. Always Arnold or Redhill in Nottingham, and the census says she was born 1862 in Arnold, Nottingham. But I cant get further back with her. No-one on Genes seems to have her in their tree and Ive checked on Curious Fox, IGI, and googled. Any ideas? Powley is an unusual surname. PS, Have just found an Annie Pooley marriage for 1885 which may be her.
