Hi, has anyone go access to canadia bmd records?
Geroge T Gunter and Florence K Norcup married in 1946 Lancashire, England, i think they emmigrated to canada, and wondered if there is any death records or records of children. They had a son called Dorwan born 1947, would someone be able to search for this birth?

Hope you can help,

Tom

I think this could be the same family alviegal!

Allotment - my Broughtons are orginally from Shropshire, then moved to manchester and later to cheshire. Perhaps so far back there is a connection there.
I couldnt find a birth for a george t gunter in the uk, so this may well be the right people.

Thanks for your help everyone,

Tom

A tree on Rootsweb says that George Thomas Gunter was the son of Dorwin Samuel Gunter (1895-1934) who in turn was the son of Samuel Nelson Gunter (1849-1921) All born & died in Canada.

Birth records are private in Ontario for 100 y, marrs for 85 y. Death records are public, but there's no index published for 70 y, so unless you already know the details you need for an order, it's prohibitively expensive to pay for all the searches you might need.

Tom, there is another site you may be interested in ... Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid ... there are quite a few Gunters on there in the Hastings / Northumberland area. We are visiting that area in late summer if you need help.
