Thank you all so much for your help. Things are becoming so much clearer now. I feel pretty sure that those census records are right even though the Daley spelling is different, because the Kersey family all lived in the St George Hanover Square area for many years, and the children's names are family ones--- Hilda and Cuthbert were siblings of Cecilia. I've found a death record for Joseph Daley, aged 36,in July/Sept 1909, so she could well have married again and the Braithwaite birth is in the St George district again. Now all I need to do is buy a fistful of certificates!
