The fact that they were registered twice was mentioned in the other thread....so all Margaret needed to do was ask "why was that "on that thread instead, rather than start this one surely? |

Have you found your mother's birth reg? If she is just registered with her father's name and she was the youngest, perhaps her parents married between the birth of the next eldest child and her? |

That is probably the reason the are registered twice, because the parents were not married |

i have found my mother's brothers and sisters birth records. i dont understand why they are all registered twice. once in my grandfathers name of cotterill and also my grandmothers name of Taylor. also i can find no marriage for my grandparents :-S |
