I am having trouble finding a marriage cert for john nelson b 1843 in Ireland. I know his wife was called Sarah and the had a daughter Eliza or Elizabeth who was listed on the 1861 census as being 1 year old. I would like to k ow what Sarah's maiden name was. Can anyone help?

Also, I don't know where the 4 young children come from on the 1901 census posted - it must be a transcription error as they are not on the census image.

Coming back to the marriage - there is always the possibility that for some reason or other, they didn't.

Thanks a lot, I still don't know what Sarah's maiden name is but you have given me lots of info to read through.

We'll say it once again - there are NO found records for their marriage and that's assuming they did.

To discover her maiden name, you need to purchase a Birth Certificate for one of the children.
