Robert was born in March 1863. The marriage being looked at is from September 1863. Is it not just possible that Robert's mother is not the same Mary who John married later in the year?
It looks quite clear that John did not marry a Mary Price in 1863.

I let Mike know how to find his replies and he has sent me a copy of a birth certificate for :

Parents: John Griffiths and Mary Griffiths (formerly Price)
Address: 2 Chapel Terrace, Cranmer Street, Liverpool.

Father John is a general labourer.

But saying that Argyllgran Genes records should be the same as Fmp as that's where they got them from

As has already been mentioned, most of us don't use GR for research.

And others, but those are the main ones for general research.

Sylvia, right - I went to FreeBMD & and listed all of them for that quarter. I then clicked on one's spectacles, and compared FreeMD's Mary Ann's with those listed in the imaged original, and FreeBMD didn't miss any out from the original.

There's a local index available for Holywell, which indexes by entry #, not page #, so it does resolve who wed whom pre-1912, & even post 1912 if al the women are caled Jones and all the men are called Griffiths.

Have a puzzle here. In the Genes Reunited search area, I came up with two possible women married to my GGgrandfather, that is a Mary Ann Price & a
Mary Ann Lloyd, to John Griffiths.

1. Mary Ann Lloyd: Image 3, Vol. 11b, Page 409, Line Nbr 38 - 1863
2. Mary Ann Price: Image 3, Vol. 11b, Page 409, Line Nbr 07 - 1863

Although the line nbrs are different, could they in fact be the same woman?,
(e.g. previous marriage ). I would great appreciate any opinion re the above.
