I think you'll need the marriage cert to see if Sidney is the right name and if he had a middle initial, there are quite a few Sidney Bowens on the 1911.

She was born about 14/18 or so we believe, so her father 20 years before aprox. We believe the Bowens originally came from Wales. Son in law estranged from his family so cannot ask any one. Elaine

Her father could have been more than 50 when she was born if you know nothing else about the family.

That is why the marriage certificate and birth certificate is useful.

Looks like Richard 1881 - birthplace says prince's End on image.

No sigh of anybody Welsh though. Relatives born Shropshire.

Everybody thinks Bowens are Welsh don't they, have the same in my family, likewise with Powells!
