The birth certificates arrived today for Elizabeth and George and their mother's maiden name was Highton. I feel a bit stupid for accepting the transcripts as gospel and will make sure I check original records too in future. Lesson learnt, thank you for the words of wisdom. Now I'm back on the right track, I wonder where the next journey will take me.
