I see Malyon now has the same problem

Happy to look for you, if you wish. I pay the sub regardless - no extra cost involved

Must say it is pleasant to come across someone on the boards who understands and appreciates that a lot of requested info has to be paid for by the ‘helper’

I know people are kind enough to look up on behalf of someone else and I would be grateful but it seems a little bit unfair when they’ve had to pay extra for the privilege.
I’m always grateful for help.

Ah just seen this.

I had just posted on General.

At first I thought that I must have accidently signed out before searching, but now I see that someone else has found a problem too.

You only need to ask for a lookup on FMP………..

Lots of stated info about how the GR site works is out-of-date, and much has been so for many years.

Yes you can see people who live at the property but not the actual address anymore which is frustrating.

Find your living relatives in the Electoral Rolls
If you are looking for a living relative, the Electoral Rolls are a great place to start.

What can you find in Electoral Rolls?

Here you can see Electoral Rolls for the years 2002-2013. They can provide useful information including:

Name
Approximate age
Address
Other occupants in the household

5 easy steps to use these records

Enter first and last name
Use the 'give or take' box if you are unsure of the year of birth
Too many results? Add a place of birth or recent residence to 'Optional keywords'
Not enough results? Tick the 'name variants' box in case the name has been recorded under a different spelling
View your search results for free

It would seem that GR are not being entirely straightforward :-S :-S

ER's are on FMP..................

GR 'support' MAY answer in a few months' time....................

Thank you for confirming I’m not going mad.
It would have been nice if support would have confirmed this.

You're correct! Thanks for pointing it out.

It now lets you do the basic search for free as always, but requires 10 credits to show the full details when you click on the document symbol to the right of the search result.

That's a very disappointing development!

I’ve just looked and it says clearly that results are free

‘Support’ is virtually non-existent

I’ve been just trying to look at the electoral roll and it would seem that you now have to have credits. Does anyone know if this is correct or have I pressed a wrong button? If you have to have credits when did this start as I’m sure I looked at one only a couple of weeks ago. I’ve asked the support team but keep getting a message error.
