Army -
the LAA regiments weren't flying - they were part of the Royal Artillery, and were shooting down enemy aircraft from ground positions, to put it very simply.

"28 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) was formed at Nottingham, in August 1939. It served with Air Defence Great Britain in Nottingham and Derby. The Regiment moved to India in March 1942. It served there and in Burma (Myanmar) until the end of the war. It was placed in suspended animation in December 1945 at Malmesbury, Wiltshire. 28 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) re-constituted as 528 (Nottinghamshire) Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment RA (TA) in January 1947."

WW2 service records are generally not online.

I don't have a sub to ForcesWarRecords, but this appears to be the same man on Ancestry.

Charles Laurence Pearson
in the UK, World War II Royal Artillery Tracer Cards, 1939-1948
Name Charles Laurence Pearson
Enlistment Date 15 Aug 1940
Regiment Royal Artillery
Military Unit Royal Artillery
Service Number 1626674

Much of the record is unintelligible abbreviations, squiggles, etc.

He seems to have been in 28 LAA Regiment (28 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment) from 1944.

Dates and places of postings (?):

x II (that's 2 in Latin) B India 1/2/1945 (20/28/45)
28 LAA 13/2/45 (42/28/45)
X (II) India 7/5/45 (74/28/45)
28 LAA Regt 29/5/45 (84/28/45)
X (I) India 18/7/45 (122/X ISFA/45)
X (I) India 21/7/45 (98/28/45)
A Release 23/2/46 (988c)

There's nothing on the second page except:

SC
15/11/44
11/12/44

If you have the right info, you can order a copy of his full record - which will take several months to arrive:

https://www.gov.uk/get-copy-military-records-of-service/apply-for-the-records-of-a-deceased-serviceperson

Try the MOD first, as it's free; if no luck apply to the National Archives, which may charge a fee.
