HI all Just received an email from genes a couple of days ago to say my membership is about to expire and that it will be £9.95 to renew,, all well and good, but have just noticed that when I've logged on I have a service message advising that my membership is due to expire and only £7.50 to renew?? Hmmm,, don;t know which one is right and no point in emailing Genes cos they never seem to reply. know it's only a couple of pound but that's not the point, it should be the same price for all. Was just wondering if anyone else had recently renewed and had a price difference as well? Thanks Nic |

Hi Nicola, someone else started a thread on this topic which I read the other day - a variety of answers, if I can find it again I will nudge it up for you. I think the conclusion was that GR do very random offers, not related to area, time with GR or anything else, just random, so if you get a £7.50 offer take it!! |

Hello This happened to me and it is a promotion- as you say unfair to the others who are quoted different prices. Regards Diane:) |

Julie, from the threads on here it seems to vary day to day, person to person, so worth keeping checking to see how much and only renew once you get the £7.50 option ... unless you use this every day and will be pained to not have access of course!! |

£7.50 is what GR charge if you have renewed promptly over the past few years....well that is what they told me. |

Could it be if you have a continuous membership you get it at the same price. Check your account details to continuous and see if that makes a difference. Margaret |

I queried the £9.95/£7.50 last week. The reply I got says: 'I have checked your payment history and can see that you have renewed for the last three years on time, Your last payment should have been processed as £7.50 in keeping with our policy of renewing continuous members who renew within the due period at the price previously paid. I apologise that you were charged the higher rate. I have allowed you a further three months on your renewal' |
