Woodford Bridge, Essex

I have an ancestor , James Brooks born abt 1786 who gives his birthplace as Woodford Bridge on the 1851 census. Can anyone please tell me either what parish this would have been or how I can find out. Thank you, Julie

Have you checked genuki? I'm not sure what you mean by 'which parish?'............ Reg

It's in the parish of Woodford. Andrew

Woodford Bridge is not listed alone....Probably came under Woodford which is part of West Ham Registration district. WEST HAM REGISTRATION DISTRICT Registration County : Essex (1837-65); Greater London (1965-67). Created : 1.7.1837. Abolished : 1.1.1968 (succeeded by Newham district). Sub-districts : Canning Town; Forest Gate; Leyton; North East Ham; North Leyton; Plaistow; Silvertown; South East Ham; South Leyton; Stratford; Walthamstow; Walthamstow East; Walthamstow West; Wanstead; West Ham; West Ham Central; West Ham North East; West Ham North West; West Ham South; Woodford. West ham would come under Essex. Annie
