David Do you have their permission to copy their tree? How do you know it is correct? If you have their permission perhaps they will send you a GEDCOM. OC |

Is it possible to easily copy items from someone else's tree to my tree without having to do it laboriously by writing it out and then adding to mine? Dave |

Why would anybody want to copy someone else's tree? I wouldn't dream of adding anything to my tree unless every detail was checked and corraborated with other information. People make mistakes, you know! We're all human. Margaret |

Hi David Be careful! Have a read of 'A question of Ethics' thread, it's one page 1 at the moment. Ann |

Thanks for your comments and help everyone! Yes I do have permission from the owner and she has already used some of mine, with , of course, my blessing! I agree that people occasionally make mistakes but using some of their research at least means you know where to look to check any details you are not sure about. Dave |
