Copying someone else's tree

Thanks for your comments and help everyone! Yes I do have permission from the owner and she has already used some of mine, with , of course, my blessing! I agree that people occasionally make mistakes but using some of their research at least means you know where to look to check any details you are not sure about. Dave

Why would anybody want to copy someone else's tree? I wouldn't dream of adding anything to my tree unless every detail was checked and corraborated with other information. People make mistakes, you know! We're all human. Margaret

if you click on edit tool on tree you can put on clip board then paste on yours haven't used this yet though but make sure owner of tree doesn't mind you copying their tree jeanette

Is it possible to easily copy items from someone else's tree to my tree without having to do it laboriously by writing it out and then adding to mine? Dave

David Do you have their permission to copy their tree? How do you know it is correct? If you have their permission perhaps they will send you a GEDCOM. OC
