Hi, received a message from someone this morning who told me I could get copies of scottish birth certs etc free. Can anyone advise me on how to do so, can I get a birth cert for 1943 as Scotlandspeople only seem births between 1553-1906. Any help would be appreciated.

Mandy if you find out where you can get scottish birth certificates for free let me know. You would have to apply to the GROS in Edinburgh for a birth certificate after 1906 & they cost £10 or £11 each. This is the website.....http://www.gro-scotland.gov.uk/ Georgina.
