Hi Kate, Thanks for your offer! Could you please look in the 1901 for two people. I have looked at the index and this is what it says, the first is Edna Harding 1 born London admin London civil parish Fulham I'd like to know who she is with second Aubery Goad 3 born London Fulham, admin London, civil parish Fulham. on this one there may also be James 11 born montreal and Emily 2 born Streatham? Actually these aren't mine, but I bought a 'Royal Army Service Corps' hankie from a lady here in NZ and she said a lady had given it to her some 30 odd yrs ago, the lady had come out to NZ after WW2 and her son had been killed at Dunkirk! So I looked up and found he did he was only 19! He was Munro J J Goad and his parents Edna G Harding and Jordan M Goad who married in 1919. So Now I am trying to find these two. Haven't had any luck at all with Jordan no births and have checked the deaths from 1920 to 1935 [Edna remarried a William A Clark who also supposedly died at Dunkirk, can't find but he may of been an American] and couldn't find a death, but there was the march qtr 1921 missing so he may be on that. The lady never married again, and when she died most of her belongs were thrown away!! The lady I bought it off just had a couple of things including a birthday book that Edna had written in and she puts her husband as 'Jordan M Goad Esq! Thanks for any help you can give, I love to solve mysteries! and to think I have a hanky that a young lad gave his mother and she kept it as she would, and now he has a name and hoefully I can find his family. Thanks Dawn |
