I was Nanny until the children became teenagers, then it became, Nan. My great grandson calls me Nanny Kay, so as to diferentiate from his dad/mums, mum, if you understand my drift. Kathlyn |

My childrens Nanny's both wanted to be Nanny, so they didn't get confused which was which, one has a dog called Lucy and is called Nanny Lucy and the other has frogs in her pond - Nanny frog! |

Hi, my son call his 2 Grandmothers Nanny, but when we talk about them when they are not there they are called Nanny Next Door (she lives in the Annexe) and Nanny Devon (she lives in Devon!). Nanny Devon has lots of step grandchildren and they all call her Nanny Janet, but she didn't want to be called that by her first 'real grandkid' not that she treats them any differently but she would prefer to be called Nanny by them all. |

All my younger grandchildren call me Granny, the eldest calls me Gran. However it was very strange the first time I was called Granny because it made me feel so old and I was under 40. Betty |
