My husband's digital camera works absolutely fine with our PC, but my son could not load the pictures of his new baby onto our PC from his digital camera, so had to go home, load them onto his own PC and then send them over to us. So it seems to me, who knows nothing about how computers work, that the photos on some cameras can be downloaded to some PCs and others can't. |

I have two cameras and got fed up with different ways of using them. One will just NOT work with camera wizard.(could be faulty) The beauty of card readers is that they cut out all the differences and possible camera faults. You can view pics from a different camera in exactly the same way. Yours takes an SD card which the most popular. Bob |

Click start then 'My Computer' and you will see a set of disks A floppy C hard drive etc is there one 'removable disk' ? (your camera may need to be on). If so then you can click on that and view/copy pictures. This is what you do with a card reader. You plug it in to a USB (no software needed in XP) and put your card in the reader and XP should ask you what to do with the pics. Argos do one for a tenner. Bob |

Betty, does not help immediately, but you can get a card reader online here for £5.50, this will cover your card. http://www.memorybits(.)co.uk/14in1usbmobilecardreader-4374.php?cPath=763&products_id=4374&s=4lvbv2cla5qb92tsk5hrs436r4 Remove bracket |

If it says it doesn't need a disk then check the camera is not showing as a hard drive in My Computer. If it is you can just view and copy the pics from there. Bob |

Hi Keith, Yes it says it doesn't need a disk to instal the photographs but I think I must be missing some software or something as it wont download the pictures when I use the USB cable. Betty |

Betty are you DOUBLE clicking on the disk? It should do something if only open up the contents. Robson's answer is the best. A card reader eliminates all the pain in the arse different camera software and you can get pictures from any camera in the same way. Bob |

Betty, do you plug the cable into the USB and 'then' switch the camera on? I have a digital camera and i just plug in then switch the camera on and the pictures download,i have a disc for it but that is just to install the kodak software for the pictures to download on to, you don't need that, my PC also crashed a few months ago and i had to have it repaired, the pictures would'nt download to good before, but since i had it repaired it downloads great! chris. |

From what I can see, there are only drivers for Win98 for the 3755, Win XP does not require them. |

Betty Check you have the software installed Go to Start then Go to All Programmes then Go to Accessories Then look down the list for Scanner and Camera Wizard. If you can see that you know the software for it is installed. Then you have to look at what you're doing which won't allow it to download. Make sure the camera is turned off. Plug the cable back in both ends. Turn the camera back on and it should start - do all this even if you've done it before and feel like you're going over old ground. Sometimes it's easy to get yourself mixed up when trying lots of different things and taking advice from lots of different people. There is no reason why it shouldn't work if you have everything you should have and you connect and turn on in the right way. |
