I have noticed in the last few days that something strange is happening with my message box. Normally, when I log into Genes, if I have any messages it will tell me in that green left-hand column how many new messages I have. Then when I click onto Messages the new messages are there in bold writing. But recently this has not been happening. It's only when I go into my personal email account that I see the Genes notification saying I have messages. So then I go back into Genes, click on Messages and there are no messages in bold - but the ones at the top are ones I have not read yet. So what is happening? Is it just me having this problem or have others experienced it? It almost feels as though someone is reading them before me! I've not given access to my account to anyone so I don't know how that could happen. Just curious as to what is going on - Athena |

Hi, yes it is very strange. I'm wondering if I should change my password, just in case someone has managed to hack into my account somehow. |

Yes, I've had this happen. It seems to be that if you actually open/read the e-mail notifications, the new messages on Genes don't appear in bold type. If you just delete the e-mail notifications without opening them, the new messages on Genes appear in bold. Strange, but true (I think, unless it's just coincidence...) |

Thanks, Christine - still not sure that is the reason, though. Why I say that is because I could be working in Genes most of the day and there are no indications in the green column that I have any new messages (as would normally happen). Then when I open my email account it says I have new messages. I don't usually bother clicking open the emails, I just delete them off, then open up Genes to see who the messages are from. Not sure if there is just a blip with the Genes system on my account or what? Thanks for your thoughts on it, though. Athena |

Hi Athena, Mmm, true, the Genes blip seems favourite then - I'll go along with that. :-) |

It has happened to me too. I Don't know the reason! ALSO keep a look out for the hot matches as mine sometimes go into my junk mail Regards Ann |

I am having problems with my messages on here too. Usually you will get an email in your ISP inbox but I sometimes I haven't been getting those. When I log onto Genes it doesn't tell me that I have new messages - when I do? The messages are still there none the less, so I am still receiving them. What's going on?!!! Stella X |
