Hi, Well the title isnt entirely true! He is called Henry C Godden, born 1870 in Streatley, Berkshire. I am able to find him on 1901 census living with his family and then on 1891 census as a Lodger BUT i cant find him anywhere before this! 1901 >>> Class: RG13; Piece: 1184; Folio: 22; Page: 35 1891 >>> Class: RG12; Piece: 1025; Folio 31; Page 5 I am trying to find his parents and siblings, can anyone help? Thanks for your help Lee ... also I am trying to find out what his wife, Amy, surname was? They were married in Elham, Kent in 1895, thats all i know! :( What does everyone use to search for premarriage names?

Lunar/Jim Thanks for the names search of his children, i had the initials of the middle names but not the actual names so thank you. I originally thought they were married in Elham, Kent but Middlesex looks a better result as the children were born in Middlesex! Any luck with Henry's Parents? Thanks ever so much again!

Do you know that the 1895 marriage was a definite? There is a marriage on freebmd BUT Henry has a different middle name. Gwyneth, I think i may have been chasing the wrong person and i did have Carter as his middle name at first! And i cant remember where i got Elham, Kent from? I think my dad may have found that out but made a mistake! I think he is actually Henry Charles Godden!

Jim, Lunar It very easy to get side tracked !!! ... i just found parents George and Mary Ann and 9 siblings for Amy Silvester. So Henry's parents may have died or something! I think I am going to have to order his Birth Certificate to get a definitive answer on the parents names! At least i now have his blood related Uncle or Aunt!
