Its funny how names can change on census' Henry names appears to change from Gooding to Godden and Clare M Ball changes to Clare Bull !!! Hmmm now what do I do about Henry? any ideas on the best path to take? sorry for all the questions, i am all very new to this! Lee |

Ah so ... Clare Bull born 1862 was from a Clara J and different father and a son called Charles Kingham born 1855 was from John Kingham and previous wife!!! Children are before Clara J and John got married in 1866. All very complicated but thats how i make it out to be! |

It would appear that they changed their ages too on the 1881 census: Ernest Godding 7 Frederick Godding 2 George Godding 39 James Godding 10 Mary Godding 38 Rosea M. Godding 3 RG11; Piece: 1297; Folio: 45; Page: 14 Why would the name change from Godding to Godden ? Lee |
