If you enter a google search for German Ancestors there are websites dedicated to them. Do they not give a town on the census or an area even? Their marriage certs often add a town? I have one who came over in a wave of German sugar bakers. There is even a website for them! Google, google, google.! |

If you go to familysearch.org and look under research help you will find a lot of advice on looking for german ancestors. I think they have also transcribed some german parish records. If you type german ancestors or similar into the search box here you should get some useful threads. Anne |
