middle name-surname

whilst browsing the free acces to passenger list I found one of my lot listed under his middle name and not his surname Robert Craig McKerrow is listed as Craig-McKerow, Robert.......I had never thought of looking for my ancestors in this way. No wonder so many are missing. Now I will have to go through the ones I have middle names for that are A.W.O.L........LOL

My family were the same. They'd be christened with one surname and marry using both and on the census they could be one or t'other or both names together, lol. Heather
