Does anyone know how to create a gedcom file for part of tree to be sent to new contact instead of typing up notes. Recently started using FTM 2005 and have absolutely no Idea. Thanks in advance.

Wow Alan, that's a bit to be doing. Sounds complicated. I'll give that a try right now and see how I get along. Thanks for the input, much appreciated.

To select the names you want to include, the easiest way is to create a report, which includes all the names you want to send. This could be an ancestor tree, a descendant tree, a genealogy report etc. Then with the report on screen, follow Alan's instructions, selecting Copy/Export Individuals at point 2.

Thanks Peter, I will give that a try as well. Practice makes perfect so they say.
