	Not necssarily in Prison for an offence. He could be a Prison Warder. I have 2 born in a London Prison, but the father is an Assistant Prison Warder and they had living in quarters at the prison. My ancestor went to a London Prison as an Assistant Warder at the end of his army career. The Prison concerned was connected with the Army in some way.
