If a person was reg on BMD for the first qtr of 1898 is there a chance that they could of been born 1897? |

yes sue, especially is they were born in december, often births are registered in the next quater |

Hi Sue, Short answer - yes! The BMD index for births, only relates to the quarter the event was registered in. As you have six weeks to register a birth, anyone registered in the March quarter could have been born mid November onwards, and not registered until January. Hope that helps Debbie |

Hi Sue, depending when in in Q4 1897 the person was born (late Dec?), yes it is quite possible for the birth to show up in the first quarter of 1898. |
