Please, where exactly is Our Lady and St Wilfrid’s RC and also St Cuthbert’s (the C of E one )? On the 1922 map, there was a church at the junction of Bridge St (which now seems to be an extension of Waterloo Rd) and Percy St – was this Presbyterian, and has it gone, along with the houses, in redevelopment of the area? Thanks for reading this, and any help would be welcome. Jay |

Janet, St. Cuthberts is on the corner of Plessey Road and Wellington Street. St. Wilfrids is on Waterloo Road. My mum (who lives in Blyth) says the church on Percy Street/Bridge Street was always just called the Congregational Chuch (it's still there but it's a job centre now). Hope this helps. Nicola |
