Could Liverpool Workhouse have doubled as a hospital in 1901? The reason I am asking is because my gg grandfather died there in July 1901. He wasnt living there on the 1901 census though Jayne |

There are several websites on Liverpool Workhouse...seems they employed nurses and was known as Liverpool Workhouse Infirmary. Linda |

Ello Jayne :-)))) found you at last! Heres the dates of when the census were taken.. The dates of the censuses were 6 June 1841; 30 March 1851; 7 April 1861; 2 April 1871; 3 April 1881; 5 April 1891 and 31 March 1901. Hope this helps. |
