Ello Jayne :-)))) found you at last! Heres the dates of when the census were taken.. The dates of the censuses were 6 June 1841; 30 March 1851; 7 April 1861; 2 April 1871; 3 April 1881; 5 April 1891 and 31 March 1901. Hope this helps.

There are several websites on Liverpool Workhouse...seems they employed nurses and was known as Liverpool Workhouse Infirmary. Linda

Could Liverpool Workhouse have doubled as a hospital in 1901? The reason I am asking is because my gg grandfather died there in July 1901. He wasnt living there on the 1901 census though Jayne
