I'd be happy to have a bash at it. Do you have it in digital form, ie it can be e-mailed?

Never tried reading a legal document written in secretarial script? Makes your head hurt! CORRECTION: I'd misremembered slightly, it's probably in what's called 'secretary' script. I couldn't find an online example of regular text, but here's a sample: http[://]www[.]catholic-history[.]org[.]uk[/]nwchs[/]secretary_hand_script[.]htm Get rid of the square brackets for the address to work. Trust me, it's a pain to read!

Hi Andrew, it is in PDF format. Joe, I understand your questionmark, it isn't exactly Ye Olde Worlde but it is in a script handwriting and very flowery. Baz

If it's 1827, it'll be round hand, NOT secretary hand, which looks very different, but is much easier to read than round hand. This site has some examples to help: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/palaeography/further_practice.htm

Phoenix: Perhaps you're right about secretary script. Oh, well.

Baz: I've e-mailed you a draft transcript of all four pages.
