Oh dear, is there a cure for this???? On going to bed, i usually read for about an hour and have just finished reading A Trust Betrayed by Candace Robb Its historical/mystery fiction set in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1297 and mentions John Balliol, Robert Bruce, William Wallace and King Edward (Longshanks) of England. But it also mentions a family of Fletchers (Alan, Besetta and Agnes)and my first thought was, i wonder if they could be my Fletchers, that is if i get back that far and then i came back to reality. Sylvia sorry but there is no cure :( Take it from someone who has been known to look up census records for people while watching the History Channel. Mind you my OH is the same and while watching a prog on Jack the Ripper vaguely remembered an address they mentioned and found the 'main' suspect's sister living next door to one of his ancestors :))) Chris

Chris in Sussex I have a vague Jack the Ripper connection too! One of the suspects in the case was a lunatic pork butcher called Jacob Isenschmid (though the police called him Joseph for obscure reasons). His daughter Katherine was the 2nd wife of my great grandfather Charles Williams. nell
